9. The sophomore showcases his playmaking skills

After getting traded to the Knicks, Dennis Smith Jr. immediately became the team’s starting point guard. His time away from rookie phenom Luka Doncic enabled him to become the main ball-handler on a team for awhile.

With the Knicks, Smith averaged 5.4 assists per game, as opposed to his 4.3 assists per game in Dallas. The most impressive feat of them all is that, even though he spent much more time handling the ball in New York, his turnovers per game took a pleasant dip.

Smith has already solidified himself as one of the quickest players in the league, with uncanny athleticism for a point guard. Plays like this have the power to keep turning that momentum around.
