9. 35-point win vs. Golden State Warriors

Prior to their March 23 matchup against the Golden State Warriors, the Mavericks had managed to beat the two-time defending champions just a single time since Kevin Durant came to the Bay Area.

Heading into this fairly standard matchup between two Western Conference participants, Dallas was in the midst of its worst stretch of the season with a three-game losing streak and 10 defeats in its last 11 outings.

As most teams do, it looked as though the Mavs were headed deeper into the pit in the form of a traditional beatdown at the hands of the Warriors. Instead, the tides were turned and it was the Mavericks dolling out their own brand of pain.

Dallas won by a whopping final score of 126-91, a 35-point defeat for the Dubs — the largest since Steve Kerr took over as the head coach prior to the 2014-15 season. Luka was phenomenal once again with 23 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists, his sixth triple-double in a historic rookie campaign. Even Nowitzki showed signs of life in his final game at Oracle Arena, dropping an efficient 21 points in just 26 minutes of action.

The game was meaningless for a Mavs squad firmly out of the playoff hunt and it contains an asterisk with the absence of Stephen Curry, but it was still one of the most shocking outcomes of the year given the trajectory both teams stood at in that point of the season.
