 20. Robin Lopez put-back jam vs. New York Knicks

This one is sweet for a few reasons. First, it’s always sweet to get revenge against the team that traded you. Robin Lopez played for the New York Knicks during the 2015-16 season, signing a four-year, $54 million deal before that campaign. The Knicks then traded Lopez to the Chicago Bulls in the Derrick Rose trade.

Another reason this was a great play by Lopez was that this game, against his former team, was his best of the season. Filling in admirably for an injured Wendell Carter Jr., Lopez poured in 29 points and seven rebounds, though the Bulls did drop this game to New York.

Lastly, it was simply pure effort by Robin Lopez. Following the shot while being blocked out by Knicks rookie Mitchell Robinson, the Bulls center blows by the rookie and jams it home. Lopez’s effort is rewarded here.

19. Zach LaVine slams one down vs. Boston Celtics

Let’s face it, this game was ugly. Very ugly. Ugly as in, the 133-77 final score at home against the Boston Celtics was the worst loss in Bulls franchise history. The game was so bad that the team nearly formed a mutiny against newly appointed head coach Jim Boylen. Proving that we can always find beauty in anything, Zach LaVine’s second quarter dunk in this contest makes that statement true.

At the time of the slam, the game was still within reach, sort of. LaVine, who barely played in the second half, blew past Guerschon Yabusele, who was apparently stuck in cement shoes, and slammed down the dunk as Jaylen Brown half-heartedly slapped LaVine on the back.

The Bulls lost this one in record fashion, but hey, it wasn’t ALL ugly.
