1. Bulls miss the playoffs again, poor defense etc.

In Year 1 of the rebuild, the Bulls managed to win just 27 games. This marked the first time the team failed to crack the 30-win plateau since 2002-03.

Unfortunately, Year 2 proved to be even more of a disappointment thanks to the aforementioned injuries, which resulted in Chicago posting a 22-60 mark. This was the fourth-worst record in the NBA and the first time the Bulls had posted a 60-loss season in 17 years. Even more important, they missed the playoffs for the second straight year and three times over the past four seasons overall.

As you may have expected, the Bulls didn’t fare too well at either end of the floor. They ranked 27th in scoring with an average of 104.9 points per outing, and their offensive rating of 104.8 was the second-worst mark in the association.

From a defensive standpoint, Chicago was somewhat better. They finished 20th in scoring defense, giving up 113.4 points per contest, but ranked 25th in defensive efficiency, yielding 105.2 points per 100 possessions. Furthermore, the Bulls finished with the fourth-worst point differential (-8.4) and set a franchise record for most home losses in a season with 32.
