20. Omari Spellman blocks Emmanuel Mudiay, finishes dunk on the other end.

Of the three rookies the Hawks took in the first round of the 2018 NBA raft, big man Omari Spellman often receives the least amount of fanfare. Judging by his numbers — 5.9 points and 4.2 rebounds per game — that lack of media attention seems to be justified.

One person that probably should’ve paid some attention to him was Knicks point guard Emmanuel Mudiay.

Here, Spellman stays stride for stride with Mudiay before volleying his layup attempt off the backboard. The former Villanova Wildcat would get rewarded for his efforts on the ensuing Hawks possession when Kent Bazemore found him in transition for a two-handed flush.

19. Omari Spellman flies out of nowhere for a put-back dunk

Miami Heat fans grew accustomed to seeing Dwyane Wade soar through the air for thunderous put-back flushes over the years, but during a November matchup with the Hawks, it was Spellman doing the flying.

Apparently, Spellman was the only player on the floor who thought that shot wasn’t going in — probably because he knew his teammate Bazemore was only a 32 percent 3-point shooter this year. It’s a good thing he did, as his alertness led to a pretty cool dunk.
