7. Draymond Green-Kevin Durant feud after OT loss to Clippers

With less than 10 seconds left in regulation and the score knotted at 106, the Golden State Warriors had a prime opportunity to beat the Los Angeles Clippers on the final play of their Nov. 12 matchup.

Draymond Green secured the rebound, but rather than pass to Kevin Durant, who had a 33-point triple-double at that point, he elected to dribble the ball up himself. While KD was seen hopping up and down begging for the ball at half-court, Green lost control, the Dubs failed to get a shot off and the game went to overtime.

It’s what came after that may have changed things forever for the Warriors dynasty, as the two could be seen shouting at each other on the bench before the extra period began. According to The Athletic, KD berated Green for not giving him the ball. The gist of Draymond’s response? Who the f**k you talking to?

KD’s free agency has been dangling over the organization’s heads for a few years now, but that tension appeared to reach its boiling point when Green accused Durant making the season about him, keeping his options open and letting the headlines continue to circulate when he was just going to leave in 2019 anyway.

In typical Draymond fashion, he may or may not have also called him a b***h multiple times too.

Durant ultimately fouled out a few minutes into overtime and the Warriors lost, setting off a string of five losses in six games. However, the real damage may have been that of a festering wound, with Durant pushed closer to leaving and Green likely upset over management choosing KD over him in the form of a suspension for the incident.

Even if the Warriors coast through the playoffs and win their fourth championship in five years, there’s a chance this verbal spat drew a final line in the sand between Kevin Durant and the Golden State dynasty.
