10. Oklahoma City Thunder and Utah Jazz duel in double-overtime

If games like this were any indication, the 2019 NBA Playoffs are going to be the world’s most enjoyable bloodbath out West. In a mid-February showdown between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Utah Jazz, fans were treated to a back-and-forth affair that came down to a last-second shot in double-overtime.

In the midst of his best month of the season, Paul George submitted perhaps his finest performance of the bunch, posting 45 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. He shot 17-for-31 from the floor and even supplied the game-winning floater over Rudy Gobert with 0.8 seconds left in the second OT.

Russell Westbrook was just as ridiculous, adding 43 points, 15 rebounds and eight assists, while Donovan Mitchell led the Jazz with 38 points (albeit on 35 shots). Rudy Gobert also chipped in 26 points and 17 boards in an extremely competitive game that featured several clutch plays.

Near the end of regulation, Jerami Grant’s 3-point play tied it up with 27.4 seconds remaining. He preserved the tie with a block on Mitchell on the other end to add another five minutes of free basketball. In the first OT, Abdel Nader‘s triple put OKC up by two with 51.1 seconds left, but a Gobert tip-in tied things up to eventually force another overtime.

Westbrook fouled out in the first OT, ending his streak of 11 straight triple-doubles, but George picked up the slack, eventually lofting up the game-winner that would give OKC a much-needed victory for a team that wound up struggling quite a bit after the All-Star break.
