50. Kawhi Leonard rattles in game-winner to drop Portland Trail Blazers

Just over a week after ruining DeMar DeRozan‘s return to Toronto, Kawhi Leonard twisted the knife on the Portland Trail Blazers with a game-winner that featured more than a bit of shooter’s touch.

Leonard finished the game with 38 points, five assists and three steals while shooting 14-for-22 from the field. Despite CJ McCollum and Damian Lillard combining for 59 points, Rip City came up short on the road when the Claw’s mid-range pull up rattled across the rim twice before falling.

That shot helped bail out Kyle Lowry, whose 3-point foul on Lillard with 13.8 seconds left helped Portland tie the game at 117. Lowry finished with 19 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds, while Marc Gasol added another 19 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

Thanks to the win in this terrific battle, the Raptors moved to an NBA-best 11-4 in games decided by three points or fewer and 9-1 over their last 10 contests overall.
