37. The game-winner that was (and game-tier wasn’t) to end Pacers-Bulls

On Jan. 4, we got three incredibly clutch shots at the buzzer. Fortunately for the Indiana Pacers, the third one didn’t count.

In a closely contested showdown between the Pacers and Chicago Bulls, Zach LaVine displayed his penchant for hitting big shots, knocking down a deep 3-pointer with 3.9 seconds left to tie the game and force overtime in the Windy City.

However, despite trailing 30-18 at the end of the first quarter, the Pacers emerged victorious in the extra period thanks to Victor Oladipo, who finished his night with 36 points and banked in what proved to be the game-winning 3-pointer with 0.3 seconds left.

The Bulls escaped by the hair on their chinny-chin-chins, however, when LaVine’s ridiculous turnaround 3 that would’ve tied the game was ruled as being released too late. It was clearly the correct call, but an impressive last-second effort nevertheless.
