10. Josh Jackson stuffs home one-handed alley-oop on fast break vs. Lakers

In a sequence that almost defined the Los Angeles Lakers’ season as well as LeBron James throwing the ball off the backboard from out of bounds, the Suns were able to turn a turnover into one of Josh Jackson‘s best — and rarely completed — dunks of the year. (We’re not trying to bag on Jackson, but he missed 15 of his 65 dunk attempts this year, which is way too many.)

However, with the playoff-desperate Lakers in town on March 2, Richaun Holmes was able to stop the King in semi-transition as he barreled toward the rim with a full head of steam. Kelly Oubre Jr. grabbed the ball and ignited the fast break, with Jackson flanking him on the wing.

With only Rajon Rondo standing in the way of this two-man fast break, Oubre lobbed it up near the free throw line. Jackson caught the ball in midair with one hand, somehow still had time to cock it back, and unleashed one of the finest dunks of his career:

Thanks to Holmes’ block on LeBron and Jackson’s finish, the Suns avoided watching their lead shrink to three points and instead extended it to seven just before halftime. And unlike many of the highlights in this top 20, this one actually came in a victory.
