12. Deandre Ayton spins past DeAndre Jordan and throws down lefty dunk

Deandre Ayton’s moves off the dribble were rare in his rookie season, but when he confidently and quickly put the ball on the floor, the result was usually eye-opening. In Phoenix’s mid-December contest against the Mavs, Ayton caught a bounce pass from Crawford near the free throw line out of a pick-and-roll.

As Ayton dribbled once with his right hand, DeAndre Jordan took the bait and overplayed the direction he was rolling to cut him off. The Suns rookie intuitively rolled back to his left, took a giant drop step and flushed home a dunk with his left hand. It all happened in a flash, leaving Jordan to wonder what the hell happened and Suns fans to salivate over the future.

11. Kelly Oubre Jr. dunks all over Jonathan Isaac

If anything is starting to sink in, it should be that Kelly Oubre Jr. is going to be the Phoenix Suns’ best source for poster dunks over the next few years as long as he’s re-signed this summer (or Zion Williamson ends up somewhere else). In an overtime win over the Orlando Magic late December, Oubre submitted one of his best entries of the season.

With the Suns trailing by six midway through the fourth quarter, Oubre caught a pass on the wing. As Orlando’s defense scrambled to stop another terrific set from Kokoskov, Tsunami Papi saw his opening and drove left, rising up past Jonathan Isaac, who was waiting at the rim. Technically Oubre went slightly around him, but it was still an impressive poster over one of the league’s up-and-coming defenders.
