16. Kelly Oubre Jr. throws down lefty hammer on Pelicans

In their first of two overtime games against the New Orleans Pelicans this season, the Phoenix Suns’ victory would soon be marred by one of the most bizarre, tank-tastic finishes of the year. Before it got to that point, however, Kelly Oubre Jr. supplied an emphatic two points on his way to a career-high 32.

When Devin Booker found Deandre Ayton in a pick-and-roll in the first quarter, the big man flashed his underrated passing skill, kicking it out to the corner when Oubre’s man sagged to help. Tsunami Papi had a clear path to the rack, driving baseline and stuffing home the left-handed dunk before Jahlil Okafor even had a chance to contest. No wonder Suns fans are ready to ride the wave.

15. Devin Booker hits absurd shot running out of bounds at full speed

In late January, the Suns were in the midst of a seven-game win streak that would soon extend to a franchise-record 17 straight. Fans were desperate for any reason to cling to hope for the future, so any Devin Booker highlight was like manna from heaven, to quote Los Angeles Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka.

In that game against the aforementioned Lakers, Booker dropped one of those manna into the bucket by throwing it back up to the skies. It was a miraculous circus shot, considering he was running out of bounds at full speed and flailing wildly after trying to draw contact from Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. This was just another one of those Devin Booker shots that’s so absurd you just have to shrug your shoulders and move on.
