The New York Knicks didn’t win much during the 2018-19 NBA season, but they still had some bright spots. Here are the top 10 moments from this season.

Leading up to the 2018-19 season, the feeling around the New York Knicks was a one of optimism. David Fizdale was hired as head coach, replacing Jeff Hornacek and giving the organization a new look.

Fizdale came to the Knicks with the reputation of being a player’s coach. He was spoken highly of by some big-name players, such as LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra was also very complimentary of his former assistant coach.

While there was a breath of fresh air to begin the season, it was the same old story on the court. The Knicks finished the 2018-19 season with the worst record in the league, clinching the No. 1 spot in the NBA Draft Lottery odds.

With the new lottery odds, the team with the worst record cannot finish any worse than fifth. In the old format, the lowest the team with the worst record could finish was fourth.

Hopefully, Lady Luck will be on the Knicks’ side on lottery night. With how much of a struggle this season was, New York is in a great position for a quick turnaround. In addition to, at worst, the fifth overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, the organization has enough cap space for two max salary players.

Getting into that position was not easy. The Knicks had to make some difficult decisions with the roster and endure a lot of losing. However, if they are able to land some difference-making talented players, it will be worth it.

While this season was a difficult one to get through as a fan, there were some redeeming moments. These are the top 10 Knicks moments for the 2018-19 season.
