Miami Heat: Top 10 moments of the 2018-19 NBA season

8. Josh Richardson’s career-high 37 points vs. the Warriors
While the Heat came up agonizingly short, 120-118, this was certainly one of the premier games of the season. Therefore, for Josh Richardson to post a career-high 37 points against the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors made it all the more impressive.
As mentioned earlier, Richardson was on fire to start the season on the offensive end of the floor, largely due to his elite accuracy from long distance. However this area of his game had gradually faded as the season progressed, therefore having a natural hit on his overall production.
This all changed against the Warriors on Feb. 10, as Richardson nailed 8-of-11 attempts from 3-point range. Despite his clear hot shooting, Richardson was not afforded the amount of respect one would expect, nailing all five of his 3-point attempts that were considered wide open.
Following the game, coach Spoelstra was full of praise for Richardson:
"“He was terrific tonight, he did it on both ends of the court….every time it felt like we needed a big bucket throughout the course of the game he came up with one.”"
Richardson’s eight triples came on a night where the Heat made a season-high 18 3-pointers, with the team ultimately posting a 9-4 record in games where they recorded at least 15 triples.
