6. JV and Mike Conley come up big in Phoenix

In a late season game against the Phoenix Suns on March 30, new-look tandem Mike Conley and Jonas Valanciunas came up big in the face of Devin “on fire” Booker. Booker was in the midst of an incredible scoring streak and this game was no different, as he led the Suns with 48 points.

Unfortunately for him, JV and Conley were also on the court at the same time.

The two Grizzlies stars combined for 67 points in the game and Valanciunas stuffed the stat sheet with 34 points, 20 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals. Conley was no slouch either, adding 33 points and five assists.

All Grizzlies starters scored in double figures, forced the Suns into 19 turnovers and out-rebounded them as well. It was a quality win and a great game for two of Memphis’ premier players.
