7. Lance Stephenson converts a tough layup in overtime

The battle for L.A. is one that has been relatively one-sided for a long time now. The Lakers were the undisputed champions for many years. Then, towards the end of Kobe Bryant‘s reign, the Clipper began to take the spotlight with Chris Paul and Blake Griffin.

Of course, many assumed that with LeBron James joining the Lakers and both CP3 and Griffin playing for different teams, the Lakers would once again own the city. However, Patrick Beverley of the Clippers threw gasoline on the fire when he claimed the Clippers were still the best team in L.A.

This is why every matchup between the Lakers and Clippers was an intense one this season. Without a doubt, the most electrifying moment between these two rivals was when Lance Stephenson converted the and-one layup in overtime.

Through four quarters, the Clippers and Lakers were in a stalemate. Then with under a minute to play in overtime, the score was still within two. This is when Stephenson came to the rescue.

When Lance noticed that the Clippers were out of position in transition, he took off sprinting. LeBron James hit him with an on-target lead pass and Lance burst to the rim. As he jumped into the air, Lance took a hit from the gigantic Boban Marjanovic.

In a Michael Jordan-esque move, Stephenson hung in the air and palmed the ball with one hand before finishing the and-one play. Perhaps the best part of this entire sequence was his dance afterward.
