10. Horace Grant‘s reaction to Jabari Parker being removed from the rotation

When the Bulls first acquired Jabari Parker, the move was met with a myriad of questions. For instance, why sign a guy who played at the 4-spot his entire career when you have two good players occupying minutes at that position?

Secondly, considering that Parker’s defensive numbers had always been suspect at best, where would he fit in on team that was hoping to turn its defensive deficiencies around? Initially, the Bulls attempted playing him at the small forward, but that was short-lived and he was relegated to the bench in the latter part of the team’s preseason slate.

Even though he did play well when Markkanen and Portis were nursing injuries, it had already became clear that his days with the team were numbered. He was subsequently removed from the rotation, prompting this response from former Bull Horace Grant:

Unfortunately for Parker, he and the Bulls weren’t a good fit from day one, which isn’t a positive thing. On a lighter note though, Grant’s response was both comical and appropriate, considering how well Parker was playing in a reserve role.
