8. Bradley Beal scores a season-high 46

Since entering the NBA as the No. 3 overall pick back in 2012, Bradley Beal has continued to hone his abilities as both a shooter and a scorer, to the point where he is now scoring over 20 points with ease and at many times is crossing the 30- or 40-point plateau.

His elite scoring prowess was on full display in Washington’s first game following the All-Star break. Whereas most might take it easy in that first game back, the two-time All-Star came out firing, dropping an incredible 46 points, although it wasn’t enough to help his team from suffering a 123-110 loss at the hands of the Charlotte Hornets.

It seemed like a wasted performance from the Wizards’ best player, one where he’d score a season-high in points on an efficient 16-of-25 from the field, as well as a perfect 10-of-10 from the free throw line. Such has been the narrative all season, where after both trades and injuries, Washington’s roster simply isn’t good enough to consistently compete at a high level

The silver lining in this performance was that, despite the loss, Beal continued to assert himself as one of the best 2-guards in the game, turning potential early in his career into current production as a threat to score in bunches.
