The 2018-19 season for the Los Angeles Lakers fell short of expectations, but that didn’t stop them from producing memorable moments.

Heading into the 2018-19 season, the Los Angeles Lakers were coming off their fifth consecutive playoff-less season, and yet expectations couldn’t be higher due to the arrival of the best available in the free agent class, LeBron James.

As the regular season comes to a close, the results for Los Angeles haven’t exactly gone the way as planned. Injuries took out the normally iron man-like James for 17 consecutive games across December and January, while youngsters Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram missed chunks of time throughout the year as well.

The free agent signings outside of LeBron didn’t seem to be much of a fit and the public pursuit of Anthony Davis in February appeared to decimate this team from the inside. All in all, it’s been a hectic and chaotic season for this historic franchise, one that has been considered a massive disappointment by even the lowest of standards.

On the bright side, for as bad as they were at actually winning games on a consistent basis, the Lakers were as entertaining a team as there was in the league this past season. From terrific individual performances to big-time moments to feel-good victories, Los Angeles was a part of it all.

In hindsight, some of the plays and wins didn’t wind up having the impact many thought they would, given how the season has played out, but in the moment they fostered both excitement and hope for L.A. fans. It’s in this list where we are given the opportunity to look back on 10 of the best.
