4. Cedi Osman sets career highs in back-to-back games

The entire city of Cleveland quickly fell in love with the Turkish Cedi Osman. Last season when he made his debut, Osman quickly became the “new Matthew Dellavedova,” as his gritty attitude resonated with the fanbase.

It’s no coincidence that any player who displays hustle and heart on the court has no problem winning the hearts of Cleveland fans. For Osman, it was easy to become a fan favorite. He didn’t play much in his rookie year, but he showed consistent effort and was always the first guy to get off the bench and cheer for his team.

That is exactly why so many people were happy to watch Osman break out as a rising star this season. It was a coming-out party for Osman, who made strides in his second season for the Cavs.

Osman hit his peak in late January when he broke his career-high for points in back-to-back games. First, Osman recorded 25 points in a game against the Boston Celtics. Then, he traveled to Miami to take on the Heat and scored 29 points.

During this stretch, Osman shot 19-for-31 from the field and was on fire from the 3-point line, shooting 9-of-15. This run from Cedi was enough to justify his selection into the 2019 NBA Rising Stars game.
