Cleveland Cavaliers: Top 10 moments of the 2018-19 NBA season

6. Alec Burks‘ game-winning dunk
When the Cleveland Cavaliers traded Kyle Korver to the Utah Jazz in exchange for Alec Burks and two future second round picks, many fans were upset. While Korver may have never won a championship with Cleveland, he was easily one of the team’s biggest fan favorites.
Unfortunately, Korver’s veteran presence was no longer valuable to the team. Instead, the Cavs chose to bring on a younger player with more potential in Alec Burks. At 27 years old, Burks still had some potential to be a productive player.

It didn’t take long for him to have an impact. In just his third game with the team, Burks posted 13 points and seven rebounds. Most importantly, he used a wicked spin move to connect on the game-winning dunk against the Brooklyn Nets. This electrifying move helped make Burks an instant star on the Cavs’ roster.
Before being traded once again to the Sacramento Kings, Burks was averaging 11.6 points per game on the Cavaliers. He was a consistent scorer who just wasn’t able to find a comfortable role with this rebuilding team. Even so, his dunk will be remembered as one of the best moments of the season for the Cavs.
