9. Larry Nance Jr. goes on a rampage

Much like Collin Sexton, Larry Nance Jr. was reserved to a bench role for the beginning of the season. However, his time on the bench lasted much longer than Sexton’s. For a majority of the season, Nance rode the pine, only joining the starters when an injury required him to replace someone.

Nance did a great job of remaining patient and capitalizing on the minutes he received. When a few injuries opened up the door for him to play more in early February, Nance exploded. In a seven-game stretch, Nance averaged 12.0 points and 13.4 rebounds a game. He recorded six double-doubles and set his career-high for rebounds with 19 against the Washington Wizards.

This stretch helped showcase the improvements that Nance had made as a player. He began scoring the ball better than he ever had before and he legitimately looked like an elite rebounder. To top it all off, Nance shot 8-for-15 from the 3-point line during this stretch.

It’s safe to say this was the best run of Nance’s career and it helped turn him into a reliable rotation player for the remainder of the season.
