2. Broken rookie records

This season has been a record-breaking season for Collin Sexton. In his rookie campaign, he’s wasted no time raising the bar and setting numerous records.

In terms of just franchise rookie numbers, Sexton has surpassed Kyrie Irving for the most 3-pointers made in a rookie season (116). He also has the franchise record for most consecutive 20-point games for a first-year player.

When looking at all-around league records, Sexton is set to become the first player since Stephen Curry to average 16-plus points and shoot above 40 percent from the 3-point line as a rookie. Furthermore, he’s the first rookie this century to score 23 points or more in seven consecutive games.

Sexton is setting the tone early in his career as a player with the potential to become a prolific scorer. He is smart at picking his shots on the floor and was thriving at the end of the season. If this is any indication of what is to come, Sexton could be ready to break some real records soon.
