With the 2018-19 NBA season coming to an end, let’s break down three reasons why Collin Sexton of the Cleveland Cavaliers deserves a spot on the All-Rookie First Team.

The Cleveland Cavaliers put a ton of faith into Collin Sexton when they selected him with the eighth overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. While the season has been a bumpy ride for the entire organization, Sexton has shined above the rest as one of the league’s brightest young stars.

The NBA has seen a bunch of great young players play through their rookie season this year. Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks and Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks are the two who have stood out from the pack.

Sexton isn’t on the same level as Young or Doncic, but he certainly deserves some recognition for the season he has had. With averages of 16.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game, Sexton might have played himself onto the All-Rookie First Team.

Today, we are going to make the case for Sexton’s place on the All-Rookie team. He isn’t garnering much love from NBA fans, but there are three major reasons he deserves this honor.
