Houston Rockets: 3 takeaways from March
After putting together an early stretch consisting of many highs and lows, the Houston Rockets are playing their best brand of basketball heading into the 2019 NBA Playoffs. Here are the three takeaways from the month of March.
Despite dealing with numerous questions about how they would rebound from a slow start to the 2018-19 season, the Houston Rockets have recently found a way to respond and catapult themselves near the top of the standings.
Houston — which once stood on pace to win just 36 games following an 11-14 start — currently boasts the second-best record in basketball since Dec. 11 at 38-14, capturing wins in 12 out of their last 15 contests by an average of 13.0 points per game. The team that once sat among the league’s primary bottom-feeders now stands 2.5 games behind the Denver Nuggets for the 2-seed in the Western Conference.
"“Right now, we feel good” Rockets guard Eric Gordon recently told Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle. “As long as we’re healthy, we’re going to be one of the best teams in the league.”"
With that being said, here are the three major takeaways from Clutch City’s most recent stretch in March.
