4. Jordan Clarkson is great off of the bench

Last season, Jordan Clarkson was a no-show in the NBA playoffs. The Cleveland Cavaliers relied on him to score consistently with the second unit but Clarkson crumbled under the pressure scoring only 4.7 points per game.

After this lackluster performance in the playoffs, Clarkson bounced back big time this season for the Cavs. JC averaged a career-high 17.0 points a game and was a spark plug off of the bench.

Clarkson registered a total of 23 games this season in which he scored 20+ points and even scored a career-best 42 points versus the Brooklyn Nets in mid-February. He found his rhythm quickly and was an instant threat on offense. JC found no trouble getting to his spot on the floor and knocking down jump shots.

By the end of the season, Clarkson was the team’s second-leading scorer and totaled the second most bench points in the league with 1,294 behind only Lou Williams who has 1,421. This season helped solidify Clarkson as one of the league’s best at scoring with the second unit.

It is unclear whether or not Clarkson will be a long term member of the Cavaliers, but, he certainly would be welcomed back. He displayed a ton of potential this season and should have redeemed himself from his past postseason performances.
