Ja Morant is one of the top prospects in the 2019 NBA Draft. Would he mesh with the Cleveland Cavaliers and point guard Collin Sexton?

The 2019 NBA Draft is quickly approaching and the Cleveland Cavaliers will likely have a high pick. With Ja Morant making noise in the NCAA Tournament, should Cleveland consider pairing him with their current point guard Collin Sexton?

Morant is certainly one of the most intriguing players in college basketball. The sophomore for Murray State burst onto the scene this year after making gigantic improvements to his game. He’s improved in nearly every aspect and has transformed into a top draft prospect.

Meanwhile, the Cavaliers have been noticing big leaps in Sexton’s game. The once-struggling point guard is now clicking on all cylinders. Sexton is scoring in bunches and has led the Cavs to a couple of wins recently.

Seeing as how both of these players play the point guard position, would it make sense for the Cavaliers to draft Morant? The Cavs are still early in their rebuilding process and it would definitely be questionable to draft point guards with back-to-back lottery picks, especially considering that their first selection (Sexton) is playing up to expectations.

Let’s imagine how these two guards would co-exist on the court together and attempt to determine if this move would be worth it for the Cavaliers.
