5. The stars have aligned

After some concern that newly acquired NBA stars Jimmy Butler and Tobias Harris may not be able to co-exist with Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid, suddenly and thankfully, the stars have aligned.

There was some early grousing from both Butler and Embiid that there were not enough shots to go around, but that has subsided. The starting five all seem to have defined roles now and there appears to be harmony both on and off the court.

76ers head coach Brett Brown deserves credit. He once had to suffer through leading a team of transients, rookies and expiring contract players though “The Process.” He has proven to be equally adept at leading a team with four of the top 40 players in the league.

The late season experiment of allowing Jimmy Butler to take over the point, with Simmons moving down to power forward, has worked perfectly. That shift stops teams from sagging on defense and daring Simmons to take a 3.
