5. Jarrett Culver — G (Texas Tech)

Playing in his second season for Texas Tech, Jarrett Culver is becoming a marquee name in college basketball.

Culver has made big leaps in his game this season by using his high basketball IQ to get himself easy buckets. He is showing good shooting range and has a smooth jump shot that allows him to score off the dribble from any spot on the floor.

Culver is currently scoring 18.5 points per game on 48.6 percent shooting from the field. He is an average athlete and can find success in attacking the rim. However, his free throw shooting could use some adjustments as he shoots just 70.4 percent from the charity stripe.

One thing that makes Culver an interesting prospect is his rebounding and defensive prowess. He has a strong 6’5″ frame and isn’t afraid to get physical in the paint. His average of 6.3 rebounds a game makes him one of the NCAA’s better rebounding guards.

Texas Tech, the 3-seed in the West region, will be relying on Culver’s scoring ability to get them deep into the tournament. This team’s title hopes lie on his shoulders.
