The Denver Nuggets are looked at as a regular season warrior, but they are more than that. Here’s why they can contend this season and make some noise.

The Denver Nuggets are officially heading to the playoffs for the first time since 2013, and they are doing it in a big way. They’re currently second in the Western Conference but are tied with the conference-leading Golden State Warriors. Their offense was expected to lead them in their quest for NBA glory, but they’ve been one of the more complete teams in the league.

The championship has been considered mostly a race between the Warriors and a few teams from the Eastern Conference, but the Nuggets aren’t a team to sleep on for a few different reasons. They are a lot further along in their rebuild than they were expected to be at this point. The hope was for them to make the playoffs this year and progress even more next year.

Their timeline has been expedited. While the rest of the NBA continues to focus on the work of the powerhouses with big names, the Nuggets will continue to be one of the best-kept secrets come playoff time. They have the ability to surprise a lot of people when the playoffs start, and these are the ways they are going to get it done.
