3. Collin Sexton

2018 NBA Draft (No. 8 overall)

This might be a controversial statement, but Collin Sexton is proving to be one of the best rookie players the Cleveland Cavaliers have ever had the pleasure of drafting.

Sexton has had his fair share of ups and downs this season, but he has prevailed through every rough patch and grown stronger from each one. He is on a never-ending mission to improve his game and become an elite NBA point guard.

The biggest concerns surrounding Sexton coming into the season were his playmaking and shooting abilities. At only 20 years of age, Sexton has already made huge strides as both a shooter and playmaker.

In the last six games, Sexton is averaging 26.5 points and 3.3 assists per game. During this stretch, he has shot 19-of-34 (55.8 percent) from the 3-point line and has recorded at least four assists in three of these games.

This stretch proves that Sexton is paying attention to his weaknesses and working hard to improve. He has already broken franchise rookie records such as total 3-pointers and passed LeBron James for most consecutive games of 20-plus points. The ceiling is high for the Young Bull and the Cavaliers are happy they drafted him.
