1. The goodbye

Supposedly, Dwyane Wade is still set to retire at the end of this year.

It’s a decision that no one is quite ready to accept, and one that will be all the more bitter to swallow should Miami miss the postseason.

Fear not though, because the superstar will not accept such a fate, which is probably why he’s been balling out lately.

Averaging 14.0 points, 4.3 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game this season, Wade has really stepped it up since the All-Star break.

In his first game back, he totaled 19 points in 31 minutes against the Philadelphia 76ers. He then put on an even more impressive performance against the Warriors on Feb. 27, when he scored 25 points in 26 minutes on 10-for-17 shooting, while also grabbing seven rebounds.

Oh, and just a few days ago, he passed Michael Jordan for the most blocked shots by a guard.

The Heat certainly have plenty of reasons to want to keep playing basketball into April, but not a single one is more important than giving Flash one last look at the playoffs.

After all, he did come back for #OneLastDance, in order to give the team everything he’s got.

"“I actually did it myself,” Wade said regarding coming off the bench. “I was like, ‘I’m going to come off the bench, because I want to make this work…’ For me, it was just trying to figure out, ‘How can I [be] successful? How can my team be successful?’ What I needed to do. I really didn’t need to reach out to somebody to find that out. I needed to look within, and that’s what I’ve tried to do.”"

Tried and succeeded, to say the least, as Miami’s 2018-19 campaign would have looked a whole lot different without No. 3.
