Chicago Bulls: 5 reasons for optimism despite poor record
The Chicago Bulls are just 18-45 on the season. Despite their poor record, though, here are a few reasons for optimism down the home stretch.
Life has been difficult for the Chicago Bulls over the past two seasons. In Year 1 of the rebuild, the team produced a 27-55 record. This marked the first time the Bulls failed to reach the 30-win plateau since the 2003-04 campaign.
While Chicago was expected to be somewhat better In Year 2, things haven’t exactly gone according to plan. For starters, thanks to injuries to key players, the Bulls got off to a 5-19 start, which paved the way for former coach, Fred Hoiberg, being relieved of his duties.
Although the Bulls have played somewhat better under Jim Boylen, having won 12 of the 38 games under his watch, their overall 18-45 record isn’t exactly anything worth bragging about.
Despite having the fourth-worst record in the NBA, there are reasons for the fan base to be optimistic as the team prepares for the home stretch and today we will take a look at a few of them.
