2. Will the team rest Mike Conley?

After being the subject of countless trade rumors and being a main character in NBA Twitter for a week or so, Mike Conley is still a Grizzly. The only team he’s ever called home decided to keep Conley and play out the rest of the year.

Conley’s days in Memphis might still be numbered, as the team could look to trade him this summer, either on draft night or later in the summer.

With twenty games left in the season, it’s likely that Conley will still want to play out, especially if the team is aiming to convey their pick to the Celtics.

But, if things start to turn even further south than they already have, the Grizzlies could shut Mike Conley down sometime in March to tank away.

If the team goes this route, it’s likely they’d be looking to move him in the offseason as the veteran point guard is creeping over 30 and has a history of foot issues. Conley’s stock is only going down with every minute he plays, and a Conley trade this summer could signal a full rebuild.
