2. Can they get experience at the wing position?

The Thunder addressed their frontcourt need by acquiring recent free agent, Markieff Morris. With that being said, there is still a huge void in wing depth. With Alex Abrines leaving the team, the Thunder are lacking even more in this department.

Outside of Paul George, Oklahoma City’s wing depth includes two second-year players in Terrance Ferguson and Abdel Nader, along with two rookies in Hamidou Diallo and Deonte Burton.  As we all know, experience is extremely important come playoff time.

The four aforementioned players have combined for 39 career playoff minutes to this point, which goes to show how much the Thunder need an experienced wing for their playoff push.

The easy solution for this would be Andre Roberson returning from injury, which at this point doesn’t seem likely. Although there aren’t many free agent options right now, the Thunder will need to acquire someone to not only fill this gap, but also fill their two currently open roster spots.

Will they go after Corey Brewer for a second straight year (currently on a second 10-day contract with the Sacramento Kings)? Or go after another free agent like Nick Young? More wings being bought out ahead of the March 1 buyout deadline would be extremely beneficial for the Thunder.
