4. James White, 2013

James White might not have had the most successful or lengthy NBA career, but he sure could rise off the floor. He spent one season with the Knicks and is the last Slam Dunk Contest participant out of New York.

James White did not make it out of the first round, as his second dunk received just 32 points. As a result, his incredible first attempt was left unrewarded. In fact, he had the lowest total score in the contest, despite his memorable “takeoff.”

With the help of his flight attendants, White was headed to the rim for his first attempt but unfortunately failed to capitalize on his first try.

He then proceeded to re-attempt his two-handed free-throw line dunk, which awarded him with 45 points and many … many more style points.

For his second dunk, he tried to perform a windmill from just inside the free-throw line, but couldn’t make it work after several attempts. As a result, he did not score enough to further continue in the competition.
