The Denver Nuggets have burst onto the scene this season in a major way. The NBA wasn’t ready for this youth movement that has punched them in the mouth.

The Denver Nuggets reached the All-Star break at 39-18, which is good enough for second in the Western Conference and fourth-best in the NBA. With 25 games left, they have to win just 11 games to match their win projection from before the season began.

As long as they remain healthy, they should easily surpass that total with the way they have played thus far. If they play extremely well, they could match their 57-win season from 2012-13.

After many lean years where they were close, including a year they won 46 games but still missed the playoffs. The team is putting it all together thanks to the development of their excellent young core.

While teams like the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors are relying on older players in their prime, the Nuggets have players that are just scratching the surface of their possible potential.

Fans should be excited about where this team is going to be in the next few years. While they can look towards the future, the focus on right now is good because fans are likely going to get to see their first bit of playoff basketball since that excellent 2012-13 season.

How have they gotten here though? That’s what we’re going to answer here today.
