9. Curtis Rowe (1971-76)

After winning three national championships at UCLA, Curtis Rowe was picked in the first round of both the NBA and ABA drafts. He decided to go with the Pistons.

That choice paid off in the form of the only All-Star appearance of Rowe’s pro career, with the Pistons in 1976, when he averaged 16.0 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. That Detroit squad made it to the second round of the playoffs.

Rowe’s standout performance that season was a 33-point, 10-rebound effort in a Game 2 victory over the Golden State Warriors in the conference semifinals.

In his five seasons with the Pistons, Rowe averaged 13.3 points and 8.0 rebounds per game and made three postseason appearances.
