5. Zach Randolph
Zach Randolph is the biggest mystery of the buyout candidates. He has not logged a single minute this season, so nobody knows what kind of shape he is in. What we do know, however, is that in the 2017-2018 season he averaged 14.5 points per game as well as 6.7 rebounds per game. What we also know is that he has a plethora of playoff experience, logging 70 total playoff games. Over the course of his career, he has averaged 16.5 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.
Taking a flyer on Z-Bo could be a risk that could really pay off come playoff time. He won’t be expected to put up the numbers he has in the past, but his playoff experience should be enough to help a team down the stretch.
Even if he plays a small role, he has proven over the course of his career that he can contribute even in a smaller role. He may be a defensive liability, but at 6’9″, 250 pounds, he can play power forward or small-ball center.
