The Sacramento Kings and Portland Trail Blazers swapped reserve power forwards at the 2019 NBA Trade Deadline. Here are the NBA Trade Grades for both sides.

The week leading up to the 2019 NBA Trade Deadline was hectic. Numerous players changed addresses, greatly shifting the NBA landscape in the process. Among the flurry of crazy deals, the Sacramento Kings and Portland Trail Blazers engaged in a player-for-player swap.

Thirty minutes before Thursday’s deadline, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Kings sent Skal Labissiere to the Blazers for fellow big man Caleb Swanigan. That’s it, that’s all. No additional players or picks required.

The deal is a relatively minor one. Not only does it pale in comparison to most of the trades of the day, but it also pales in comparison to earlier deals completed by both teams.

Sacramento completed two huge trades the night before, shipping out Iman Shumpert to receive Alec Burks and a 2020 second round draft pick in a three-team deal with the Houston Rockets and Cleveland Cavaliers. The Kings followed that up by sending Justin Jackson and Zach Randolph to the Dallas Mavericks for swingman Harrison Barnes.

Meanwhile, on Feb. 4, the Trail Blazers unloaded reserve guards Nik Stauskas and Wade Baldwin IV to Cleveland for fifth-year wing Rodney Hood.

Still, in he midst of a manic Thursday, both sides exchanged two big men with cheap contracts and plenty of potential.

With the deal complete, what does this swap mean for each side? Did either team give up too much or too little? Can either player make a major impact for their new squad? Here are our NBA Trade Grades for both teams.
