Mike Scott

What makes a blockbuster trade unique for both sides, and in this case for Philly, is that they are receiving three players who are already well in tune with each other.

Mike Scott hasn’t been much of a factor this season for the Clippers, but he does provide another veteran presence to a Sixers squad eager to make a run in the postseason.

Scott, who has averaged a measly 4.8 points and 3.3 rebounds per game on 39.1 percent shooting from beyond the arc this year, couldn’t have asked for a better change of scenery at this point of the season.

The 30-year-old forward has proven himself to be a reputable role player over the course of his six-year career. Scott was a very reliable option in his early tenure with the Atlanta Hawks, while they were still playoff contenders in the Eastern Conference.

The Clippers are still in playoff contention at the moment, but it’s likely not going to last, especially now with the shipment of three of their best veteran pieces.

Scott is another 6’8″ presence who compensates for the loss of Wilson Chandler off the bench, but it’s still yet to be determined just how coach Brett Brown will elect to use him.
