The Orlando Magic have reached an important point in their season, with it now making a lot of sense to explore some deals before the 2019 NBA Trade Deadline.

With the 2019 NBA Trade Deadline fast approaching, it remains unclear if the Orlando Magic will be active in going after or moving players of their own.

A season that still held some promise of a playoff appearance as recently as Christmas has fallen apart, with the Magic going 6-12 since the turn of the year.

Perhaps a change to their roster is what is needed, in hopes it can spark a turnaround of their fortunes. It would be foolish for the organization to jump at any offers that were presented to them, but they do have an interesting blend of young talent, and perhaps more importantly, competent veterans to entice other teams.

Some fans may be in favor of tanking for the rest of the season in order to secure another lottery pick, but the fact is there are other teams with worse records who will be hard to overtake in any race to the bottom (even if the revised lottery odds could actually work to their advantage there).

Whether it is adding additional draft picks, more young players or even some established talent to make that postseason push, a refreshening of the roster would be welcomed. Here are three reasons the Magic should take this approach ahead of Thursday.
