Cleveland Cavaliers: 3 trades team should make before deadline
By Tony Pesta
3. Milwaukee Bucks
The Milwaukee Bucks have finally taken the next step as a franchise to becoming NBA championship contenders. Giannis Antetokounmpo is having an MVP-caliber season, averaging 26.7 points and 12.6 rebounds per game. Behind Antetokounmpo, the Bucks have a 39-13 record and are the top seed in the Eastern Conference.
However, the Philadelphia 76ers recently made a trade that has put pressure on the rest of the East to strengthen up. With the new acquisition of Tobias Harris, the Sixers are looking stronger than ever. This move could be the first domino to fall that causes other contending teams to begin making deals.
In this trade, the Bucks receive Alec Burks and Channing Frye. Burks is a consistent 11.6 points per game scorer for the Cavaliers and can provide instant offense for the Bucks, while Frye is an experienced veteran center that can spread the floor with his 3-point shooting ability.
The Cavaliers acquire both Tony Snell and a future first round pick. Snell is a solid wing defender, but the biggest component of this trade would be the 2023 first round pick that the Cavs would gladly take.
