The Denver Nuggets are near the top of the Western Conference, and as they approach the 2019 NBA Trade Deadline, they may need to make a trade to add one more piece to bolster them.

At 37-16, the Denver Nuggets are second in the Western Conference, and they are playing some of the league’s best basketball. With one of the NBA’s deepest rosters, there aren’t really a ton of changes that need to be made. Their main concerns for the remainder of this season and the immediate future are to add some frontcourt shooting and free up some cap space for the next few years.

While teams like the Portland Trail Blazers are getting aggressive at the deadline to accomplish their goals in preparation for a playoff run, the Nuggets have spent the last few years preparing their team for this run, and they are only getting better with more time and experience to jell together. It’s rare for a team to have role players from top to bottom, but the Nuggets are one of the exceptions.

As the 2019 NBA Trade Deadline approaches, the Nuggets have to determine what move would be the right one, and they have to avoid sacrificing anything of significant value. With most of the team playing a specific role, that’s going to be easier said than done. However, with a couple of weaknesses on the team, they can still make some changes that will help them get to that next level in the Western Conference and the NBA as a whole.
