Kawhi Leonard

Remember when a small group of Twitter trolls believed in the narrative of Kawhi Leonard as a product of the San Antonio Spurs? It seems funny now, doesn’t it?

No, Leonard isn’t under the tutelage of Gregg Popovich, but that hasn’t stopped him from re-introducing himself as one of the games premier-two way forces, averaging career highs in both points and rebounds while playing his usual brand of stifling and emotionless defense.

Offensively, he’s come so far since his college days, able to break the opposition down with a bevy of dribble moves and either pull up from the elbow or take it all the way to the bucket. Defensively, his length and lateral quickness allow you to stick him onto any perimeter threat and feel pretty confident about the upcoming result.

With so much talent set to take the court for the full 48, it’s very likely this game comes down to the final few minutes and possessions. Whether it’s hitting a big 3 or forcing a tough turnover, you just know Leonard’s impact will be felt in whatever way is necessary to bring home the W.
