James Harden
With his second pick, LeBron takes arguably the leading MVP candidate from the Houston Rockets in James Harden. Harden has been on one of the most insane tears the league has ever seen over the last two months. He’s shooting 43.7 percent from the floor to go with 37 percent from 3-point range. He also extended his streak of scoring 30 or more points to 26 in the team’s win over the Utah Jazz.
If it weren’t for his heroics, the Rockets wouldn’t be close to where they are right now. The Harden pick gives Team LeBron an excellent ball-handler that can also work off the ball as he did earlier in his career. Harden will likely enjoy playing alongside a few other ball-dominant players that can give him a break from the intense workload he has been carrying.
James has now picked two of the three big stars from the Oklahoma City Thunder team he knocked off for his first title back in 2012. Both are a lot different than they were back then, and they are much better players that give LeBron a great foundation to build off for his All-Star team moving forward.
