Stephen Curry
As great as he is, the one weakness in Giannis’ game is his outside shot. At just 27.1 percent for his career, defenses can clog the paint and dare his teammates to beat them.
To counteract this flaw, I went with a guy opponents wouldn’t dare leave open, not even for a second, creating endless amounts of driving lanes for the gangly Antetokounmpo to use to his advantage.
Stephen Curry continues to defy the modern laws of shooting with his ridiculous shot-making abilities. From the moment he passes half court, his defender has to assume a shot may be coming at any and all times, all while dealing with a mesmerizing dribble exhibition and constant movement even without the ball.
Somehow, Steph’s numbers this season are dangerously close to that of his unanimous 2015-16 MVP campaign. Even with Kevin Durant in town, he’s still finding ways to impact the game at the highest of levels.
As someone who thrives off heat-check jumpers most wouldn’t dare attempt, the All-Star Game was built for a guy like Curry. It doesn’t take much to get him going, and playing in his hometown of Charlotte, we can expect the three-time champion to take a run at the game’s MVP award.
