Kevin Durant

With the first overall pick, it’s pretty much between the Golden State Warriors‘ dynamic duo of Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry. LeBron takes Durant with the first overall pick to get himself a dynamic wing threat that is one of the best scorers in the game. KD helped LeBron take the win last year, and it makes sense that he will have a strong interest in taking him again this year.

Durant is shooting 50.4 percent from the floor to go with 36.9 percent from 3-point range. He’s taken a slight step back on the defensive end this year, but he still has more versatility than Curry does on that end of the floor. You can’t really go wrong with the first pick, but LeBron has picked Durant before, and he likely will again.

Durant’s ability to shoot from outside and defend multiple positions makes him a great fit alongside James. LeBron has always been about winning when he’s playing, and, while Curry’s ability to score in bunches will be tempting, it’s more than likely that LeBron will target Durant with that top pick.
