Nikola Jokic

While Giannis drafted a center with his fourth pick, LeBron waited for a few more rounds to address that spot with the Denver Nuggets‘ offensive star Nikola Jokic. Jokic is a triple-double waiting to happen, and, while he’s far better on the offensive end, he’s not terrible on the defensive end of the floor. Jokic’s technical ability gives the team the ability to go big without sacrificing any offensive firepower.

This will be the greatest collection of stars that Jokic has ever played around, as this will be his first appearance in the All-Star Game. Surrounded by shooters such as Beal, George, Durant and Lowry allow him to stand at the free throw line and whip the ball around, while the defense scrambles to slow the team down. Jokic’s style excels in this type of environment, and he can learn some things from LeBron, as they have a similar style of play.

The center position has taken a step back since the NBA evolved to the 3-point phenomenon that we have seen over the last few seasons, but Jokic’s ability to stretch the floor has enabled him to stay extremely relevant. He gives LeBron even more versatility and depth in the frontcourt to finish filling out the roster.
