Hoops Habit mock draft for the 2019 NBA All-Star Game
Bradley Beal
After adding multiple defensive-minded players, LeBron gets another offensive star in the Washington Wizards‘ Bradley Beal. Since John Wall‘s injury, Beal has been free to play his brand of basketball as the team’s main weapon. Coming off the bench for LeBron will have him playing in a similar role to what he has now, and, when he plays alongside the starters, he’ll be allowed to bomb away from deep where he shoots very well.
His efficiency this season has struggled somewhat due to his high volume, but he’s a career 38.8 percent shooter from 3-point range. Beal was a rumored trade target of the Los Angeles Lakers earlier in the season, so fans will get the opportunity to see how Beal could have played alongside the 15-time All-Star in James.
Beal isn’t quite the elite athlete that the rest of his teammates are, but he’s no slouch in that department. He has a good chance to lead this team in points if he is able to get hot from distance, and he can get to the basket with timely cuts. As long as he’s hitting his shots, he’ll be a great get for LeBron with his sixth pick.
